Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin.God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.
He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.
I liked this enough to share with all the pumpkins in my patch.

Kathering, this was great...I don't ordinarily like Halloween or carving pumpkins...I just like to eat pumpkin pie...but in picturing the relationship we have with the Father, who takes us and carves us from rough and dirty pumpkins into creatures of love,joy, peace, and thanksgiving, because of His great love, then I might be able to buy one this year, and as I clean it out, and carve its new face, I'll think about what Christ has done for me. .
