Thank you!

I am receiving wonderful comments from so many of you and I do appreciate your love and compassion, and wisdom, so much! I’m going to publish some of these comments for all to see since some may not go back to older messages to read the comments.

Thank you, Maree, for posting this comment: “We all came together to pray for the election...it didn't matter what church we went to, our weight or height or places we lived....we all came together to pray for Sarah and John.

The most important part of the whole thing was we came together to pray!!! All who believed that Jesus Christ is our saviour, died and on the third day rose from the grave and lives today....we prayed together!! We came together!!
None of us will ever be the same! I begged for forgiveness and mercy!! I was blessed!
The Lord is calling us still closer...our prayers were heard!!!

He's telling us we NEED each other...come together...lift each other up... we prayed for a greater good, our country and the people in it.
I'm trying to say..Let not your heart be troubled!! We have work to do! We are prayer warriors!!!

I believe we all need to get busy informing ourselves of bills being voted on and call our senators and congressman..especially the democrats...let our voices be heard! We need to put their phone numbers in speed dial..bookmark their e-mail addresses..whatever it takes. I KNOW some of you are doing this already. God Bless you Katherine!!

Good advice, Maree, I hope everybody will bookmark the sites above and keep informed of the bills being voted on.

From Shelley: Thank you for your blog about prayer. I have a prayer blog and I am glad to meet someone else with a passion for prayer. I believe that the prayers we have begun to see flow through out our nation are just the beginning of a revival if our churches don't fall back into apathy. I feel so alone sometimes and feel that there is no one else to share my burden for prayer. I am glad that I stumbled upon your blog. I hope to find more prayer warriors to communicate with. I belong to the www.teamsarah.org "Prayer Warrior" blog. It has been a blessing to connect with other prayer warriors. I hope that www.teamsarah.org continues or I can find another blog or forum to connect with others. God bless you.

From Charlotte: I know how disappointed you are. There are lots of us out there. However, I don't believe we have lost the power of prayer. God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we want. I have had a lot of prayers answered no when I thought the only logical answer was yes. Sometimes it was months or even years later that I could see why God gave that answer. I don't know what is in store for America. I do believe the end times are close and perhaps this is the way it needs to be right now. I know one thing. In the end we win. God has promised that. Hugs and blessings,

From Alice: Your blog here has been a blessing during these days leading up to the election. I feel we worked so hard, both spiritually and in actual deeds but God had other plans. Not knowing what this means has me on edge. I'm trying to rely on my faith alone but these anxious feelings keep popping into my head.

For the blog addresses of these dear friends above, go to the comments and click on their names.
From Maree: I can't tell you how many times I've depended on this verse, I'm sure you have too.
"The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Psalms 34:18

Thankfully, our strength and courage does not come from government...Jesus, sweet Jesus is our strength and courage when we are weak.

You did your job and did it well. Go back to having fun on your blog and rest....we will all visit you there!! Blessings!!

Thanks, also to Adrienne and Cathy and all of you who sent me encouraging scripture.
Katherine

Hi Katherine -
I'm so glad to see you here today. We need to keep banding together to pray for our new leaders, as well as the 'old' ones who remain. Our country needs the strength of men and women who will humble themselves and pray! Don't give up the fight. We win - I read the last chapter of the Book and WE are the winners! God has promised much to those who will remain faithful no matter what happens around them. I want to be in that bunch!

Thanks for the Prayer blog, Katherine. We all did pray, but like I said in my post after the election, the Word says God's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. And we do need to keep praying.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I was talking the other day to a woman who voted for Obama. When I said Palin had helped me to swing over to the McCain camp all she could say about Palin was, ' I can't STAND her'! How sad that in this case, political and moral issues were over shadowed by such juvenile 'reasoning'. Many of us did not vote for Obama because of the facts of the morally heinous issues he supported and his socialist views while many were sucked in and mislead by his charm.
Perhaps next election, if there is one, people will look at the issues at hand and what is at stake instead of being dazzled and blinded by slick, sugary words and glitter. Obama is a mirage. Big hat, no cattle.
